Meals and Snacks
The Florida Department of Health Child Care Food Program (CCFP) provides a nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack to all children at the UA.
All meals are nutritionally balanced and approved by the USDA for children’s health. Menus will be posted on the Parent Information Board for all meals. Please do not send chips, candy, other snacks, soda, or drinks with your child, they are not be allowed.
Because we provide meals according to USDA approval, we cannot substitute food based on likes or favorite foods. We will make accommodations for allergies, religious or medical nutritional needs. Parents must provide the needed food substitution. It must be labeled and will be stored in the kitchen until time for meals.
If your child has a special dietary need, please inform the classroom teacher as well as complete the Child Care Food Program Medical Statement for Children with Disabilities and Special Dietary Conditions form in your enrollment packet or if the need arises after initial enrollment.
The CCFP offers infant formula and food for your baby. All parents are to the complete the Infant Feeding Form to indicate if your child will participate in this program or if you will supply your own formula.
